By the early 1990s, Memphis Lite's pastel gradients were already reaching for something warmer. This is the piece that shows the handoff happening in real time: a sculpted, sun-faced figure rendered in the soft airbrushed technique of mid-80s design, but in the burnt orange and deep purple that would define Global Village Coffeehouse just a few years later.
